The change will start at 2am Sunday, when the clocks will be brought forward to 3am.
Victorians should also check the batteries in their smoke detectors and other alarms and appliances to ensure they are in working order.
Daylight saving will also begin in South Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
