Bulldogs’ fan makes mad dash from Indonesia for grand final
This time last week, Bendigo’s Steve Campbell was with one of his best mates on a motorbike trip around Sumba Island in Indonesia. It was a holiday planned more than 12 months in advance and one that Campbell had looked forward to with great anticipation. Salvation Army Rural Support Worker and Chaplain John Cartwright’s car has clocked about 185,000 kilometres in three years from his efforts to support the region’s farmers.
The 72-year-old estimates he traverses about 200 to 250 kilometres per work day.
