Teenage cricket sensation Zane Keighran is the latest quarterly winner of the Junior Sports Star of the Year award.

The Bendigo Branch of the Sportsmen’s Association of Australia selected Keighran as the second quarterly award winner after he was picked to play in the Cricket Australia under-16 team at the national under-17 championships and to tour Dubai in January.
“Zane demonstrates consistency with his sportsmanship and sporting skills and has been singled out by cricket umpires for for his good character and behaviour,’’ the BBSAA said in a statement.
The first quarterly winner was young football and basketball star Dyson Daniels.
Daniels was selected to play for Victoria in both sports in 2016 and he also competed in the Victorian athletics championships in multiple events.
Two more quarterly winners will be announced prior to the staging of the Junior Sport Star of the Year awards at the Kangaroo Flat Sports Club on November 30.
