Star Cinema’s mini-festival Roald Gold continues today with screenings of films based on Roald Dahl’s stories.

The mini-festival is on until Monday and is celebrating the famous author’s 100th birthday.
Films based on Dahl’s books Matilda, The Witches, Fantastic Mr Fox and The BFG.
They will also screen 36 Hours on Saturday at 8.45pm and Monday at 8.30pm. The PG film is one for the adults and is based on Dahl’s story Beware of the Dog.
Saturday’s screenings also include The BFG at 1pm and Fantastic Mr Fox at 6.30pm.
On Sunday, Matilda will screen at 1.30pm, Fantastic Mr Fox at 3.30pm and The Witches at 6.30pm.
Matilda will also screen on Monday at 6.30pm.
Following their Roald Gold weekend, Star Cinema will also host Alice in Eaglehawk on September 29.
The event is fully booked and features the Victorian Youth Theatre will feature a live theatre performance of Alice in Wonderland at Star Cinema at 11am and a Mad Hatters picnic in Canterbury Park at noon.
