As of 6pm most remaining flood warnings on the Wimmera River were changed to moderate.
“Moderate flooding is continuing along the Wimmera River around and downstream of Quantong Bridge,” an emergency update stated.
“No further significant rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Wednesday and flooding is no longer expected to redevelop in the upper Wimmera River catchment .
“The Wimmera River downstream of Horsham at Quantong Bridge is currently above the moderate flood level (5.4 metres) at 5.86 metres and falling.”
Emergency services declared late on Wednesday afternoon that flooding is no longer occurring along the Wimmera River from Glenorchy to Horsham.
Updates on Wednesday stated that since 9 am on Tuesday rainfall totals of up to seven mm have been recorded in the Wimmera River catchment.
Less than five mm of rain was forecast for the remainder of Wednesday.
