The free Footy Festival will be held at the QEO on Friday, September 30 – the AFL grand final eve public holiday.
Walker is a former Bendigo Pioneer from Echuca who was selected by the Blues with pick No.2 at the 2003 AFL National Draft.
The 30-year-old played 202 games for the Blues before retiring earlier this year.
Walker will participate in a sports panel and mingle with fans during the Footy Festival, which will be held from 11am to 5pm.
Walker’s brother, Benny Walker, an Echuca-based musician will also perform during the festival.
The region’s premiership teams will be honoured as part of the festival.
More announcements for the festival are expected.
