Wins for gymnastics clubs at national carnival

THE first champion clubs of Gymnastics Australia’s National Clubs Carnival in Bendigo have been named.

Men’s Artistic Gymnastics – Manly Warringah Gymnastics Club was crowned the overall champion after a stellar performance.

Manly Warringah ended the carnival with 185 points, with the Gold Coast Gymnastics Club runners-up on 142 points and Canberra City third with 121 points.

Women’s Artistic Gymnastics – Delta Gymnastics Brisbane won the title after a complete team performance in which it earned 57 points to finish ahead of Southern Canberra Gymnastics Club on 39 points.

MLC Gymastics Club was third on 32 points.

Rhythmic Gymnastics – Holdfast Bay Rhythmic Gymnastics was named the champion club with a score of 84 points.

In what was a tight contest Holdfast Bay narrowly edged out Prahran Rhythmic Gymnastics, which was second on 82 points.

Aerobics Champion Club – Loreto Toorak Gymnastics Club won the inaugural title.
