Bendigo’s senior team lost to top side St Albans 2-0 in an entertaining contest at Epsom-Huntly Recreation Reserve. St Albans, who sit on top of the west conference ladder, scored in the 20th and 57th minutes.
In the under-20 game, Bendigo City went down to St Albans 2-1. Bendigo took the lead in the 13th minute through John Manyok, but St Albans bounced back.
The Bendigo City juniors had a great day.
The under-16s won 4-2, with Lachlan Capp, Oliver Huzzey and Matt Gallagher on the scoresheet. The under-14s won 4-0. Brenton Urbaniak scored a brace and Oscar Capp and Lachlan Priest scored one goal each.
The under-14s won 3-0, with Jerry Benny scoring twice and Tom St Clair once. Patrick Mathers scored in the under-13s 1-0 victory.
The under-18s went down 3-1 and the under-12s lost 5-0.
