The Spectres upset Brisbane Spartans 80-68 in Brisbane on Saturday.
It was the second time in as many weeks the Spectres, who finished the season in fourth place, have effected an upset.
They ovecame third-placed Dandenong Rangers in the first week of finals.
Andrew Steel and Simon Conn led the Spectres with 22 and 21 points respectively.
The Braves defeated the Spectres by three points in Nunawading early in the season and by 20 points at Bendigo Stadum in July.
Mount Gambier Pioneers and Hobart Chargers will meet in the south conference grand final in South Australia.
