LD Network director Deborah Zang and teaching and learning coach Karen Dymke from Thoughtful Works will host the workshop, which will focus on supporting and progressing students in upper primary school.
Ms Zang has worked in the area of dyslexia and specific learning disorders for 10 years and is a member of the state Department of Education’s learning difficulties and dyslexia reference group, while Ms Dymke lectures at La Trobe University.
The session will cover strategies, how to help students progress with their learning, ideas for the classroom and home, and transition strategies.
The workshop has been organised by BOLD, a parent-driven support group in Bendigo.
