BY her own admission, YCW coach Christie Griffiths believes her side's LVFNL netball elimination final win over Bridgewater might have shocked a few people.

But it certainly came as no surprise to her, insisting the impetus for victory had been building for some weeks.
The Eagles will strive to keep their finals dream alive this Sunday in another cut-throat clash against Calivil United at Mitiamo.
Griffiths said the scene was certainly set for a tough and exciting semi-final encounter at Mitiamo.
"Finals are a whole different ball game," she said.
"Playing Calivil, we always have a great contest ... (the result) comes down to a whole lot of things on the day.
"It will be great to get through another week. We were the real underdogs and no one much expected us to get through."
Griffiths praised the efforts of teenage goalers Steph Donnellon (17) and Sidney Niemann (15), who stepped-up big-time in the win over the Mean Machine.
Defenders Renee Sheridan and Laura Hamilton were others to show out for the youthful Eagles.
Calivil United, meanwhile, is looking to rebound from an uncharacteristic 70-34 loss to Mitiamo.
The Demons and Eagles are one win apiece in games this season, with YCW winning the last encounter by three goals in June.
Meanwhile, a grand final berth will be up for grabs when Newbridge and Mitiamo clash at Calivil on Saturday.
The Maroons will enter the game well rested courtesy of a last round bye and a weekend off in the first week of finals.
But the Maroons have been far from idle though, taking part in a series of practice matches, including one against HDFNL premiership favourites White Hills.
Coach Carmen Shevlin said her side was looking forward to the challenge against a Superoos team which was ruthless in disposing of Calivil United last week.
"We'll go in confident but Mitiamo aren't one to be taken lightly at all," she said.
"We were in some pretty good form later on in the season - those tough games against Mitiamo, Calivil and Bridgewater were a good lead-up to finals.
"The practice match against White Hills was good, tough competition, so we are well prepared.
The Superoos have bounced back from a slight form lapse towards the end of the season and enter the contest with Laura Hicks and Gabrielle Marlow in top form.
The ledger between the two sides sits at one apiece this season, with Newbridge winning the most recent encounter 43-33 on July 23
