Made up of Andrew Watts and his sons Kane and Sam, Seed have been long-time supporters of the Bendigo Blues and Roots Festival.
Their support is continuing with $5 from each CD sold at the launch show going to the BBRMF.
“The event is free but we want to get as many people there as possible,” Andrew said.
“Profits from the CD are going to the festival. I have been active with the festival since it started and we are passionate about being come more successful.”
Generosity and community support runs in the family with Bass player Sam and his drummer brother Kane donating $1000 to Ulumbarra Theatre last year as a thankyou to the arts and music community.
The brothers were schooled at Bendigo South East College but have both been accepted into the Victorian College of the Arts.
Despite having a huge amount of musical talent in the family, Seed only formed late last year.
“Recording as a family has been a different experience,” Andrew said.
“It’s a great thing for Sam and Kane to get a bit of studio time. This has been something I wanted to do for many years.”

Together the Watts family have played numerous stages at the BBRMF since it started.
“The boys have been on the main stage for last couple years as part of Lazenby Young Blues Guitarist Award and in the backing band with me,” Andrew said.
“I have played there right from the first year. The festival is far more grassroots than other festivals.”
Seed also features a number of guest musicians on the album and at its shows.
Brett Garsed, who played with the John Farnham Band, and Hamish Davidson feature on the album and will perform at the launch.
After that, Seed are planning to play the BBRMF when it returns later this year.
“We are not planning on a huge amount of local gigs because we are living in Melbourne now,” Andrew said.
“But Bendigo is where our heart is so if we ever have the opportunity to come and play, we like to support the local scene.
“We will certainly be there (for the festival) and hopefully get a few decent slots.
“Hopefully Brett and Hamish are in town. If not, we will find out who is in town and have a jam.
Seed launch their album at Goldmines Hotel on Friday, August 26, at 7.30pm.
