Kiwanis Bendigo and the Lockwood CFA were presented with donations of $3500 and $2500 respectively.
More than 200 riders took part in the event, the biggest on the Bendigo Motorcycle Club’s calendar.
Club member and Lockwood CFA representative Dean Heather said every year the group donated to two Bendigo organisations.
Mr Heather said the motorcycling club had donated more than $60,000 to local organisations.
He said he hoped the donation would change the stereotype of motorcyclists.
“We are not thugs, we are actually working with the community every year,” Mr Heather said.
“When I first started 25 years ago there were no junior riders that took part in events, and now all of that has changed.
“It has become a family event.”
Mr Heather said the donation would go toward the extension of the Lockwood CFA’s shed.
“We have been doing an extension on the shed and this money will go toward continuing the expansion and improving our facilities,” he said.
Brian Pedretti from Kiwanis Bendigo said the donation would go towards helping young children in Bendigo. Kiwanis Bendigo is an organisation that is dedicated to helping disadvantaged children in the community.
Mr Pedretti said the group received requests from families in Bendigo for help and the donation from the Bendigo Motorcycle Club would go a long way.
