Toolleen trained stayer Pelli is drawn to find a position close to the front from the outset and will take plenty of beating in the sixth event.
Runner up at his only try over the 660m journey at Bendigo, Pelli scored a strong victory over 570m at Horsham last start and he is the runner to beat form the nice draw.
Proven Eddie has been racing well having placed at each of his past three starts and it appears the extra distance should suit, while Utopia has been racing well and has won over this trip at Bendigo.
The best bet of the meeting comes up in the Bendigo Advertiser sprint, which is race five on the card in the shape of Judicial Man. The Brooke Ennis trained sprinter has only faced the start on nine occasions, but has won seven and been placed the other two and has posted 23.90 at his only Bendigo appearance.
After clocking 22.08 in an effortless Ballart win on July 13 Judicial Man stopped the clock at a flying 22.33 at Geelong on July 22, and with speed to burn he should set up a comfortable lead in the early and mid stages and prove too slick for his rivals.
The main dangers to Judicial Man look to be the Robert Britton trained pair Fly As One and Bearville Azza who both have terrific records of their own.
