The La Course by Le Tour is one of the most sought after one-day races on the UCI Women’s World Tour.
Hosking, who races with Wiggle-High5, burst clear at the line in Paris to win by several bike lengths from Finland's Lotta Lepisto of Cervelo Bigla after two big crashes in the final moments of the 89km circuit race thinned the field.
They hauled in a late attempt from Boels-Dolman's Ellen van Dijk to break clear before a select sprint.
“I don’t think I quite believed it when I crossed the finish line,” Hosking said.
“I had my hands over my mouth. These are iconic roads and this is a huge victory for me and my team. My team were incredible.
"I'm so lucky. Amy Roberts never gave up, and Audrey Cordon kept me safe in the final laps.
"I saw Van Dijk pull away, went past her, and was waiting for everyone else to catch me."
Hosking, 25, was born in Bendigo, but at a young age moved to Canberra with her parents.
Hosking rose to prominence when she won the bronze medal in the women’s road race at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. She also competed at the 2012 London Olympics in the road race.
