Having illustrated more than two dozen books she has, in a relatively short career, secured her place as one of the best-known and most highly awarded illustrators.
An exhibition tracing Blackwood’s career and providing an insight into the way she works, and the creative decisions she makes, opened at the La Trobe University Visual Arts Centre last week.
Look: an exhibition of picture book art by Freya Blackwood is presented in partnership with the Bendigo Writer’s Festival.
An official event to mark the exhibition will take place at the VAC on Thursday, August 11, at 6pm, with opening remarks by Sarah Mayor Cox.
The exhibition will run at the VAC until August 14.
