The Hawks were never challenged by the Bulldogs as they won by 83 points, 17.11 (113) to 4.6 (30), at a boggy Gardiner Reserve.
A season record that was at one stage an ordinary 3-6 is now 7-6 for the Hawks.
Eaglehawk’s lead was already 51 points at the main break as they led 9.6 to 1.3 in what was another dismal looking scoreline for the young Bulldogs.
On-baller Brodie Collins, Cameron McGlashan, Matt Filo (two goals) and Jesse Collins were all solid contributors for the Hawks.
The loss was Gisborne’s fourth in a row, during which the Bulldogs have kicked lowly scores of just 30, 10, 41 and 49.
Trent Crosbie, Patrick Trotta, James Fraser and ruckman Matt Wilson worked hard to be the best for the Bulldogs, while in his return to senior football, Luke Saunders kicked one of Gisborne’s four goals.
