Drawings and textiles by Greg Somerville will feature downstairs while paintings by Ian Clarke will be on display upstairs.
Somerville is a New South Wales artist who has recently settled in Castlemaine.
He has specialised in a wide variety of design and art types and is also a trained biologist, which has influenced his work.
“The imagery I utilise is grounded in the patterns, textures and minutiae of the bio-region in which I live,” Somerville said.
Clark is also from New South Wales but has relocated to central Victoria. Since then he has developed a distinctive style of printmaking and painting.
His dot paintings that are on display are rich, vibrant colours in his characteristic style.
Greg Somerville and Ian Clark’s exhibitions run at the Falkner Gallery in Templeton Street, Castlemaine, until August 28.
