Ellis is touring to promote his new five-track EP Rah Rah.
A popular musician in alt-country and American circle, Ellis has released seven independent albums during his career.
Rah Rah brings a collection of Ellis’ well-crafted lyrics and follows a range of topics including life awakenings and the dark side.
Ellis has performed on some of the world’s biggest stages, alongside Richie Havens, Robert Cray, Canned Heat and Seth Lakeman.
His solo career began in 1998 after he spent nine years as a musician in various bands around Melbourne.
The Bendigo show is the second last on his tour and just one of three Victorian shows. The others are in Northcote and San Remo.
The tour began in Tasmania on June 23 and ventures up the east coast through New South Wales and Queensland in early July.
Rory Ellis plays at the Golden Vine on July 23 from 8pm. Entry is $15.
