A WOMAN charged with being an accessory to the murder of Kangaroo Flat mother Samantha Kelly has again faced court, but her bail application was withdrawn at the last minute.
Christine Lyons, 44, was remanded in custody after appearing by video link in the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court.
Ms Lyons was the only of the three co-accused to appear in court on Wednesday. Murder accused Peter James Arthur, 44, remains in custody.
Ronald Lyons, 43, also charged with being an accessory to murder, did not appear. He was granted bail in March.
Christine Lyons told the court she thought she would be applying for bail.
“As far as I know, I was going to go for bail today,” she said.
Lyons said the bail application had been withdrawn without her knowledge.
The three will appear at a committal hearing in Bendigo on September 14.
A committal hearing was meant to take place in Bendigo on Wednesday, but the court list had not been cleared.
The case had earlier been delayed after police asked for more time to compile their evidence.
