Maya Mann and Ruby Stone were selected along with 46 other science students at the Australian and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science event.
The event will provide students with the opportunity to visit world-class research facilities, meet leading scientists, and undertake experiences usually unavailable to the general public.
“Maya and Ruby currently study biology and chemistry and both are likely to join the ranks of graduates from this School who go on to study science at tertiary level,” Girton Grammar headmaster Matthew Maruff said.
“We are immensely proud of Maya and Ruby who follow in the footsteps of previous Girton students to be selected for ANZAAS and other national and international science forums.
“Opportunities outside the classroom, like the Youth ANZAAS event, are really important in fueling (students’) passion for science.”
