TWO Bendigo Bank Academy of Sport members – Imogen Douglas and James Humphrey – have been selected in the Australian Canoeing National Talent Squad.

Douglas earned her selection following the Australian Wildwater Championships in Tasmania in January, the National Oceania Regatta, Victorian Sprint Titles and winning three medals at the National Sprint Titles in Perth in March.
Humphrey’s selection in the squad comes after he only took up paddling in November last year, with his rapid development including being part of several successful team boats at the Victorian Sprint Titles.
Douglas and Humphrey train each Sunday and Tuesday as part of the BAS Canoe Squad, working with coaches Rebecca Mann and Maddie Batters, both 2016 Australian team members.
