The rivals enter the round six clash on two wins apiece, with the Hawks (2-2) having played one less game than the Bombers (2-3).
Leitchville-Gunbower has strung together some impressive performances against top trio Colbinabbin, White Hills and North Bendigo and will go into the game at Leitchville as favourites.
Huntly enters the contest fresh from the bye, having beaten Mount Pleasant and Lockington-Bamawm United prior to the break.
Plenty of interest surrounds Heathcote's encounter against Mount Pleasant, with both sides looking to post their second win.
After posting only one win in 2015, Saints coach Nikki Ridley said she was happy with the improvement shown by her team this season.
"I think we have a really good shot this week. If we play as well as we do against the top teams, I think we can win," she said.
"Coming off a really bad year last year, I've gone in with the attitude there are three or four teams that getting a win against is achievable at this point.
"They are games we can either win or really push it.
"Some of the top teams we have a ways to go against, but we do have goals, including keeping the margin down."
The Saints lost by 50 goals against White Hills last week, but even that is an improvement on last season.
They have just two players left from last season and will introduce another fresh face this week in Annalise Carroll.
"She played out at Heathcote a few years ago, but has been living in the Northern Territory," Ridley said.
In other games, North Bendigo will look to rebound after a loss to Colbinabbin against Lockington Bamawm United and Elmore come up against undefeated White Hills.
Colbinabbin has the bye.
