The crash occurred at around 5.40pm, 500 metres south of the intersection with Fogartys Gap Road in Harcourt North.
The left lane on the Calder Highway just past Ravenswood was until 6.25pm after which traffic was restored to normal.
The crash occurred after the truck moved into the left lane as it was travelling southbound on the highway, knocking the car of the road. It is believed both vehicles were travelling within the 110 kilometre per hour speed limit.
The car was towed from the scene. There were no injuries.
