Police have appealed for more information from the public to help find the $15,500 piece of machinery.
The yellow Wombat digger was stolen from the old Sandhurst Town site next to the Great Stupa of Universal Compassion.
Senior Constable Rod McDowell said the machine was being used to complete ground work on the building site.
“It was seen by a neighbour being towed away by a silver Holden Statesman, on the back of a trailer, at 9am on Sunday, April 24,” he said.
“Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
The theft was less than a month after a similar Bobcat was stolen from a yard in East Bendigo.
The $20,000 Bobcat s130 skid steer was driven through locked gates.
