Wind gusts reached up to 56km/h but it was nothing compared to the 120km/h wind gusts at Mount Hotham or the 70km/h wind gusts in Shepparton.
“There were severe weather warnigns across teh state on Saturday night and thousands of lightening strike,” BOM forecaster Sarah Scully said.
“There are no current warnings for regional Victoria.
“Some showers will be around tomorrow but they will be scattered through the ranges.”
Bendigo SES unit controller Fiona Beecham said there were eight calls for assistance on Sunday morning from 3.10am.
Most calls were related to fallen trees, traffic hazards and building damage.
Statewide SES spokesman Marc Dorey said Victorians placed more than 700 calls for storm-related assistance overnight.
Most were in relation to damage in metropolitan Melbourne.
“We’ve had a few calls in the Bendigo area, but certainly not to the sort of extent we are seeing in some of those suburbs like Narre Warren in Melbourne,” he said.
Rain avoided Groovin the Moo but festival campers were hit with a wild and windy night after the event.
“We probably had 380 guests on site, and they were all fine, we didn’t lose any tents or anything like that,” Mooggee campsite manager Dan Bojko said.
