POLICE have interviewed a man suspected of jumping on the roofs of at least seven cars parked near central Bendigo on Thursday afternoon.

Witnesses saw the 18-year-old jumping on the cars at 3.30pm, smashing a number of windscreens and causing a hefty damage bill to the car owners.
At least five of the cars were in Baxter Street, and another was in Larritt Street. The man was shirtless at the time and accompanied by a women.
A smashed beer bottle was also picked up at the intersection of Hopetoun and Chapel streets, which police believe may have been used during the series of incidents.
Police have encouraged anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who was a victim of the vandalism, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
