BAIL has been granted for a man who allegedly drove on the footpath at a busy Bendigo roundabout while fleeing police.

The 19-year-old appeared in the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday after he was taken into custody wanted on three warrants.
He also admitted to police he supplied ice to his friends.
Senior Constable James O’Bree said police watched the man and two others allegedly shoplift items from Woolworths Kennington on December 3.
Police followed them and attempted to intercept the car – with stolen number plates – at the intersection of Sternberg Street and McIvor Road at 6.45pm.
He allegedly sped away towards Chapel Street and mounted the footpath in front of The Light House to get around the built-up traffic towards a roundabout. Police abandoned the pursuit.
The man was arrested on a warrant on December 17 for allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash in September. Witnesses followed Ruff after the crash and he hit a tree, causing serious injuries to himself.
He was released on bail and failed to appear in court in March. Police released three warrants for his arrest.
The man allegedly stole a 2007 Toyota Camry from a house in Spring Gully on March 9.
The car’s number plates were recovered during a police raid on a house, where the man was allegedly known to visit regularly.
He was arrested during another police raid on a house on Bright Street, California Gully, on March 31.
The man was allegedly found in possession of a snap lock bag of ice and knuckle dusters.
Police also interviewed him in relation to recent road rage incidents in Bendigo. Investigations are ongoing and he is yet to be charged.
The court heard the man has already spent almost a month in custody.
Magistrate David Faram granted bail, on the condition the man attend a doctor and abstain from drugs. He was also placed on a strict curfew.
He will re-appear in court on May 23.
