Harrington arrives at the Rush after spending the last SEABL season with the Bendigo Lady Braves where she averaged 14.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

That included a 13 point haul in the Lady Braves' two-point conference grand final loss to Kilsyth.

Harrington joins Spirit teammates Joy Burke, Ashleigh Spencer and Molly Mathews at the rush.

Only Mathews - a Ballarat local - was on the Rush's roster last season.

All four players have cited Rush head coach Dave Flint, who is an assistant with the Spirit, as a major factor in signing with Ballarat.

“Dave put a very good case to me, they have a great program which I believe will improve my game." Harrington said.

The 24-year-old enjoyed her best WNBL season in 2015-16, rejoining the Spirit after stints with the Adelaide Lightning and Bulleen Bomers (now Melbourne Boomers).

A former Australian under 19 representative, Harrington's signing complete the Rush's roster for 2016.

Flint said he was excited by the make-up of his team.

“Isn’t it great that we can have a team predominantly made up of country Victorian players," he said.

“Kerryn is a tremendous addition to our Rush group and to sign such a quality player and person such as Kerryn Harrington only a month out from the start of the SEABL season is pleasing.”
