A man accused of using a gun to hold up an Elmore pharmacy, then stealing a car to escape, has been remanded in police custody.

Michael John Shaw, 39, of Rochester, faced the Bendigo Magistrates Court yesterday over the incident on July 18.
Shaw was charged with armed robbery, five counts of common law assault, theft of a motor vehicle and one count of carrying an unlicensed handgun.
Appearing via video link in court yesterday, Shaw used a range of expletives in the brief hearing. He was remanded for a committal mention on November 14.
Shaw is accused of stealing about 27 boxes of the prescription drug oxycodone, a painkiller sold on the black market and used as a cheap alternative to heroin.
He is also accused of stealing a car in an attempt to get away.
Shaw did not apply for bail.
