THE second day of the Elmore Field Days went without a hitch, as thousands filed in and enjoyed the spring sunshine.

Organisers said the first two days of crowds were on a par with last year.
“We’re happy with how it’s going,” Elmore Event Centre public relations officer Sam Shotton said.
Exhibitors said they were inundated with customers.
Colin Wellington from Haeusler’s Shepparton said business had picked up on day two of the event.
“It was very busy. Yesterday there was a few about but today we’ve been flat-out.”
Mr Wellington said he had spoken to people from all over the state.
“From Shepparton, Echuca and down to Gippsland; we’ve had people come chat to us everywhere.”
More than 220 women attended A Rural Salute for Women at Bendigo’s All Seasons Resort on Tuesday night to celebrate the role of women in regional areas.
The work of eight women living in rural areas was highlighted.
Barfold’s Elaine Murphy and Donald’s Rose Harris were presented with grants for their chosen community organisations.
Organisers are expecting the final day of the annual field days today to be the most attended.
The heat of music competition Telstra Road to Discovery will be held at the picnic area.
Musician Ella Hooper will host the event, at which six local musicians will perform original compositions in the hope of going through to the next stage of the competition.
The winner will get a 12-month music mentorship package, including the ultimate experience of performing at the Americana Festival in Nashville.
