AN earthquake with a magnitude of 2.7 shook Bendigo and its surrounds last night.

Geoscience Australia said the epicentre was recorded in Lockwood South, 15-20km south of Bendigo at 9.38pm last night.
Several people have reported feeling the earthquake.
"We are in Maldon and it shook the house quite vigorously for a few seconds," Heather Keig said.
It is the second earthquake to be felt in Victoria in the past four months.
The previous earthquake took place in June.
It had a 5.5 magnitude and an epicentre in Moe and rocked floors and rattled windows in Melbourne as well as Epsom, White Hills, Echuca, Junortoun and Ballarat.
