At aged 18, Sheehan was the second-youngest member of the Australian team that took on England in an eight-match series for the Blind Ashes in Adelaide.
England won the series 5-2 – there was one washout - but that didn’t dampen the experience of representing his country for the first time for Sheehan.
The series comprised five 40/40 matches and three Twenty20 games over a week.
“It was an unreal experience to be out there playing for my country.. when I was out there fielding, that’s when it really hit me,” said Sheehan, who now has his sights set on the Blind Twenty20 World Cup in India.
