Local coordinator of the Sixty Ride, Robert Kretschmer, said riders of all ages and abilities were invited.
‘This is all about community coming together to enjoy a social ride in a supportive environment,” Mr Kretschmer said.
The Bike Bendigo treasurer said his group was working with Bicycle Network to arrange the monthly meet ups, with the idea to get more people on bikes in Bendigo.
The first community ride will be held this Sunday, with participants of all riding abilities invited to meet just before 9am at the Forever Marilyn sculpture in Rosalind Park.
“The rides will run for sixty minutes and participants can ride at their own pace or ride with the group,” Mr Kretschmer said.
“It’s a great way to try out riding and, being a regular event, a chance for participants to monitor their progress”
