To celebrate the anniversary, organiser Valerie Truant is endeavouring to reunite as many competition winners from years gone by as possible.
“The judges pick out the doll of the show and the bear of the show, so they consider that to be the best doll or bear there and we’re getting some of the previous winners from those shows, the dolls, back to display,” she said.
There will also be a pin cushion or needle case competition, decided by public vote.
The Doll and Teddy Show is on Saturday, February 27 at Maiden Gully Primary School from 9.30am.
Entry is $5 or $4.50 concession and free for children under six, with all proceeds going towards the Bendigo palliative care auxiliary.
“Most people at some stage in their life have some dealings with palliative care, whether it’s a relative or a friend or whatever, and we just felt it was a very worthwhile cause,” Ms Truant said.
