The event - organised by the Kyneton Football-Netball Club – featured a 5km walk/run and a 10km run.
Tigers’ vice-president Karen O’Sullivan says the success of the event will hopefully lead to the Fun Run being a permanent fixture on the club’s fundraising calendar.
“This year was a start-up event. It has been embraced by the community and we are excited about how we can make it bigger and better in 2017,” O’Sullivan said this week.
A portion of the funds raised from the day will be donated to Multiple Sclerosis Australia.
“We are fortunate at our club to all be relatively healthy and fit enough to walk and run in an event like the Track and River Fun Run, which is something many people suffering MS in Kyneton won’t get a chance to do,” O’Sullivan said.
