Plowright was in front just metres after the starter’s gun was fired and never let up in the 7 ½ lap contest at the Latrobe University Bendigo Athletics Complex.
Peter Cowell from Bendigo Harriers and University’s Rik McCaig ran strongly, but neither could catch the eventual winner.
The victory was the fourth Plowright has achieved in the 2015-16 season.
A hot streak by Plowright included a hat-trick of wins in December.
Other multiple winners in this summer’s Tuesday Night Series include Glenhuntly’s Tarli Bird, University’s Richard Gleisner and Adam Fleming, and Eaglehawk’s Matthew Heislers.
Next Tuesday’s race will be 3000m and is part of another Masters track and field night at LUBAC.
