Family friend Beck Ferrier is holding a boxing class at Punches in Bunches on Friday to raise money for Beanies for Brain Cancer, a cause close to Mrs Tate’s heart as she herself has been diagnosed with the disease.
“She’s quite passionate about Beanies for Brain Cancer,” Ms Ferrier said.
“One of her goals is to raise awareness and to raise money for that charity.”
Bendigo bridal businesses pitched in so Mrs Tate could marry her husband Gavin on January 31 after her health took a turn for the worse.
Eaglehawk’s Belles and Bows gifted Jenny her wedding dress, while Eternal Vases provided the bridal bouquet.
Meanwhile, the Exchange whipped up an afternoon tea while Ms Malloy’s mate, Trent, cooked the wedding cake.
The fundraiser is on February 12 at 5.30pm at 144 Murphy Street.
Entry is $10.
