Reed – also in the Victorian Bushrangers squad – has been confirmed as as starter in the match between the Australia Transplant cricket team and the DonaeLife Everyday Heroes at Maiden Gully on Sunday, February 21.

The match – now in its fourth year - aims to raise awareness of organ donation.

Also a confirmed starter for the Robyn Hookes Shield match will be batsman Peter Forrest, who has played 15 one-day internationals for Australia.

Forrest – who plays with Queensland and in the Big Bash with the Brisbane Heat – scored an ODI century against Sri Lanka when he made 104 in Hobart in February, 2012.

Forrest and Reed join Victorian batsman Rob Quiney, leg-spinner James Muirhead and Cricket Victoria chief executive Tony Dodemaide, as well as Adelaide Crows’ rookie Alex Keath in the Robyn Hookes Shield match.

The game will be played from 10am at Maiden Gully Recreation Reserve, while the day will also include an under-12 match for the Hale Family Cup from 8.30am.

A supporting Transplant Cricket trivia night will also be held on Wednesday, February 17 at the All Seasons from 8pm. Tables of six to 10. Cost is $20 per person.
