“All fires have been deemed suspicious and and are under investigation,” she said.
“We are calling for anyone who may have seen or heard anything. Any public assistance would be greatly appreciated.”
Detective Senior Constable Graham said the fire at Future Employment Opportunities started underneath one of the portable buildings.
It is the second time in a week Future Employment Opportunities has been targeted.
EARLIER: Three fires have been lit in Eaglehawk overnight.
The CFA and police attended an open grass fire in Caldwells Road, a fire in a baseball club storage container at Albert Roy Reserve and a fire at Future Employment Opportunities in Hall Street.
The fires come after the baseball clubrooms at Albert Roy Reserve in Eaglehawk were burnt early on Thursday.
Police determined the clubrooms fire was caused by an electrical fault.
President of the Falcons Baseball Club Jason Harriage said he was waiting for police investigators to finish their works before the club could assess the damage.
“We use the pavilion up there but our playing gear stored down here,” he said.
“I’m just devastated. I heard it was a container at the field and hoping it wasn’t ours but you don’t want it to be any of them.
“We are just starting up pre-season, which makes it difficult.”
Vice president of the Bendigo Baseball Association Helen Aikman said the BBA and Falcons would have trouble coping with the loss of equipment and clubrooms.
“It’s devasting, I can’t believe it’s happened,” she said.
“We have a crisis meeting set for this afternoon and our AGM has relocated.
“We can’t have a public gathering (here) now because there are no toilets or change rooms.
“There is also now a club without equipment. This is further insult to injury.”
The BBA’s AGM will now be held at Golden Square Football Club on February 10 at 7.30pm, FEb 10.
The baseball’s twilight season, which was scheduled to start on Monday, has now been moved to Strathfieldsaye Dodgers field and will be on February 15.
