Brayden Olsen, 20, is alleged to have used a knife in the robbery at the CBD bottle shop just after 7.30pm.
Olsen is believed to have fled with money before he was caught by police shortly after the incident.
Appearing in the Bendigo Magistrates Court yesterday, Olsen was remanded to a committal mention on November 24.
Senior Constable Josh Olver said Olsen was caught in Queen Street, Bendigo, and was taken into police custody.
A separate robbery on Saturday at Apco Easy Shop was still being investigated last night.
Senior Constable Olver said inquiries were ongoing into the theft at the McIvor Road service station.
A woman used a knife to hold up the store and fled with a sum of money at 8pm.
Senior Constable Olver said investigation into the hold-up was still being processed.
He said police were hopeful of laying charges soon and were appealing for any information.
