Amber Lyons, Alex Allott and Jagan Woods were named in the 23-rider squad to compete from February 24 to 27 at Launceston’s Superdrome.
Lyons was in great form in the 15-girls finals at last weekend’s state track titles in Darebin.
A great campaign included silver in the sprint, bronze in the 500m time trial and the individual pursuit.
Allott’s medal haul in 15-boys events was silver in 500m time trial, bronze in individual pursuit and sprint.
Woods figured prominently in the 17-boys disciplines.
Another of Bendigo’s talented youngsters, Alessia McCaig was third in the 15-girls sprint.
Cycling Victoria’s line-up for the national junior titles includes Patrick Eddy from Echuca-Moama in the 15-boys, and Isla and Neve Bradbury from St Kilda in the 15-girls competition.
The Bradbury sisters’ father, Haydn, was based in Bendigo for several years and was a top-class cyclist on the road and track.
Meanwhile, the Bendigo and District Cycling Club’s track season rolls on this Thursday at the Tom Flood Sports Centre in Barnard Street.
Racing starts at 6.30pm. It’s free entry for spectators.
