A 27-year-old woman from Eaglehawk has been charged with several offences in relation to assaulting police and refusing a preliminary breath test.
The incident comes just days after two Bendigo police members were taken to hospital for treatment after being assaulted during an arrest.
Karl McDowell, 19, of Eaglehawk, screamed and spat at the officers, the Bendigo Magistrates Court heard on Tuesday.
McDowell was sentenced to six months' youth detention.
Sergeant Tony Kekich said police were fed up and would not tolerate bad behaviour.
"People have got to realise they've got to be accountable for their actions," he said.
