Collins followed up his 185 against Axe Creek on Saturday with 110 against the Cowboys in the third round of the Cathcart Smash Repairs Bash for Cash.
Collins’ 110 (13 sixes, six fours) helped the Tigers to 4-171 off their 10 overs, which proved out of reach of the Cowboys, who answered with 8-129, led by 47 from skipper Grant Le Poidevin.
Collins backed up his work with the bat by taking two wickets in his one over.
• Reigning premier Golden Gully won its first game of the tournament, beating Mandurang by 24 runs.
The Cobras successfully defended their score of 5-114, bowling the Rangas out for 90.
Golden Gully’s Jayden Russell (37) was the only player in the game to make more than 30.
• Rick Ladson’s hot form with the bat continued for Sedgwick.
Ladson cracked 78 n.o. as the Rams blasted 1-180 in reply to Marong’s 3-126, in which Scott Ross (41) top-scored.
• West Bendigo beat Spring Gully by 11 runs.
The Redbacks successfully defended their score of 3-132, headed by 45 from Travis O’Connell, with the Crows held to 3-121 in reply. Geoff West’s 37 was the top score for the Crows.
