After winning the toss and batting, Victoria Country overcame the early loss of former White Hills batsman Brayden Stepien for 1 to post 5-272 off 49 overs. Matthew Underwood made 128 and Blake Thomson 110.
Former Strathfieldsaye paceman Xavier Crone and Sandhurst spinner Liam Bowe then helped the Vic Country team to restrict Vic Metro to 6-259.
Crone took 1-47 off nine overs, while Bowe claimed 1-46 off nine overs and had an easy catch dropped off his bowling.
The game was reduced to 49 overs after an hour of play was lost because of rain.
After a rest day on Wednesday, Victoria Country tackles the Northern Territory on Thursday.
