Athletics Bendigo clubs South Bendigo, Eaglehawk and Bendigo Harriers are represented across the three-day meet in Albert Park.
Action starts on Friday and will involve the sport’s rising stars from many pockets across the country.
Elmore race walker Zahra Hayes will be one to watch in the under-16 3000m walk.
The Rochester Secondary College student and South Bendigo Athletics Club member achieved a time of 15:00.45 as she won gold in the under-15s 3000m walk final at the Victorian All Schools.
The under-14s pole vault finalists include South Bendigo’s Bridget Catania from Notre Dame College in Shepparton.
Other pole vault aces are Marist College Bendigo’s Cooper Saunders, under-16; and Girton Grammar’s Jemuel Pryse and Declan Rochford in the under-18 division.
Pryse cleared 4.35m as he won the under-17 title at the Victorian All Schools titles.
Another of Girton Grammar’s stars, Joseph Baldwin jumped 2.10m as he won gold at the state finals.
Baldwin will be a hot contender in the under-18s final this weekend.

Eaglehawk Secondary College’s Olivia Graham hit a mark of 44.88m to win the under-16 SSV final and will be a leading medal contender.

Johnson clocked 13.60 at last week’s Athletics Bendigo and Victoria Masters meet at the Flora Hill track.
Bendigo South East’s Luke Padgham clocked 2:01.95 as he won the under-15s 800m at the SSV finals.
Sacred Heart College Kyneton’s Liam Campbell will contest the under-16 hammer final at the SSA titles.
The under-18s 2000m steeplechase includes Maxine Paholek from Seymour.
Girton Grammar’s Liam Richardson will aim to add to his medal tally in the 100m, 200m and 800m for Athletes with a Disability.
Richardson is one of many Victorian team members who have starred at past School Sport Australia national track and field titles.
