Sergeant Mick McCrann of the Bendigo Highway Patrol said police fined the 41-year-old Quarry Hill man $152 for failing to display his L-plates and $758 for being an unaccompanied learner in Wood Street, Long Gully at about 7.39pm.
“They’ve then gone about their routine patrols and then not half an hour later they’ve seen the same car in Barnard Street,” he said.
“The driver was given the same fines again and warned not to drive or he’d be arrested.”
