The tram that left Central Deborah Gold Mine at 2pm today was rocking more than usual as local musicians Talisa Jobe and Shannon Bourne played their mix of blues music to the crowded tram.
Mr Bourne said it was a great atmosphere for a gig.
"I've played on the Queenscliff blues train before but these old trams are really good. The crowd were having a good time, it's always good to play somewhere a bit different."
One of the organisers of the festival, Julius Porlai, said the event was a preview of the Blues and Roots festival.
The Blues Trams will be back from the second night of the festival, Friday, November 9, through to Sunday, November 11.
