The two sides won just three games between them last season, but both enter this tussle at Maiden Gully with 2-1 records and in the top four.
Maiden Gully – which has Craig Burn starring with the ball with 18 wickets - has won its past two, including an outright win over West Bendigo last round.
In those two wins the Gully has bowled the opposition out for 91, 87 and 115.
After winning their first two matches, the Crows will be on the rebound from a 72-run loss to Marong when they didn’t have enough batsmen cash in on starts.
Tip: Maiden Gully.
Last time: Spring Gully 0-0 dr Maiden Gully 0-0. Since 2008: Spring Gully 7; Maiden Gully 1.
WEST BENDIGO v GOLDEN GULLY at Ken Wust Oval.
Battle of the EVCA’s two winless teams.
West Bendigo is struggling with the bat with first innings scores of 87 and 53 in its past two games, during which it has had 16 players dismissed in single figures.
Golden Gully has taken just 11 wickets while conceding 491 runs in its past two losses to Mandurang and Spring Gully.

MANDURANG v EMU CREEK at Pearce Reserve.
Reigning premier Mandurang has picked up from where it left off last season, winning its opening three games by a combined 261 runs.
Matthew Pask has made 172 runs his past two innings, including 110 against Golden Gully last week.
After starting the season with a win over Sedgwick, Emu Creek has lost its past two games to Maiden Gully and United to dip to eighth on the ladder.
Tip: Mandurang.

AXE CREEK v UNITED at Champions IGA Oval.
United is sitting pretty at the top of the ladder with a 3-0 record and coming off back-to-back first innings scores of 7-314 and 9-288.
That doesn’t bode well for Axe Creek, which got slapped for 453 runs by Sedgwick last round.

SEDGWICK v MARONG at Club Court.
After a 0-2 start to the season, Sedgwick looks to have found its mojo after last Saturday’s run-feast against Axe Creek when it plundered 6-453, headlined by 185 from Rick Ladson.
Marong, which is 2-1, also has Scott Ross (103) coming off a century.
Tip: Sedgwick.
