BENDIGO BMX Club racers have secured 22 out of a possible 36 Victorian state plates at the LKI BMX Victoria Open State Championships in Shepparton.

The plates qualify riders for the 2016 BMX National Championships, to be run at a brand new world-class facility at Mount Panorama in Bathurst.
The facility is under construction and will be used by national team racers in the lead-up to the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
Bendigo produced several 2V plate winners across the two-day titles, with riders finishing second in their respective finals.
They included 10 year-old boys competitor Marcus Walker, Rhiana Hobbs (11yo girls) and Brock Tuckerman (30+ masters).
Will Oliver (boys 9yo) and Jaclyn Wilson (AA women's time trial) earned 3V after place finishes, while Meleia Hobbs (girls 12yo), Kailen O'Grady (boys 13yo) and Nate Hadden (cruiser 8-10yo) came away with a 4V.
Former world champion Wilson also took the 8V in the AA women.
Jordan Hall recovered from heavy fall in Saturday’s time trial to snare a 4V in the A men's final.
Marcus Walker snared the 5V plate in a competitive 8-10yo cruiser class where 29 riders from across Australia competed.
He finished just one spot below teammate Nate Hadden.
Other 5V winners were Jed Seipolt (A men's time trial) and Matthew White (AA men's time trial and AA men).
Winners of 6V plates were Adam Aherne (30-34 men’s cruiser), Ronnie Grant (boys 9yo), Michaela Meharry (girls 14) and Nate Hadden (boys 10yo).
The plate haul continued with Finn Mulcair gaining a 7V among a field of 41 riders, and Samuel O’Grady (boys 9yo) and Ava Fenton girls 9yo) both gaining 8V.

Several riders contested the sprocket division (5-7yo), where no placings are awarded and the program is based on skills learning.
They were Mitchell Grace, Fraser Allan, Will Evans, Chase Hadden, Cooper Muir and Max Williams.
The large Bendigo contingent was among more than 800 riders in Shepparton.
Riders ranged in age from the three year-old mini-wheelers, to 50+ masters competitors.
